a super fine mandolin bass ,made by gelas in france in 1936, double spruce top as is typical of gelas instruments (see mandolin guitar and hawaiian guitar elsewhere on this site) , has a nice low end and mixes very well with an acoustic ensemble. it has an endpin which can be lengthend a bit for upright playing.

an interesting guitar shaped smaller sized double bass, labelled inside with makers name and signature and :systeme gonon.the bass bar is part of the neck and attaches to the front top in the middle, fretted neck, 2 jolly ff-holes, and a french style scroll head with proper bass machineheads.not super loud but a nice sound,fully restored and set up with double bass strings.has a spike that can be lengthened.

this is a big bass, long scale and with a huge neck , nice sunburst brown finish and 2 filtertron pick-ups, hick ebony fingerboard gives definition to the sound, the usuall gretsch switches and it still has its damper next to the bridge. with flat wound strings it gives a beautfull low end. comes with is rare original gigbag..(they never made a case for this one)

once again a fine wandre porduct,the blitz bass delux. red front and multicoloured back.framez pickup.and...the body folds backwards if one loosens the strings a bit..,used to come with a fittes case in which the folded body fitted.unfortunatley no case...great piece though.sold!!!!!
