a highly unusual cello ,sides are made of finely flamed maple cut on the slab,back is made of solid rosewood!,top of what looks like red spruce with pronounced grain .inlaid with ebony purflings,the edges are also onlaid with rosewood , scroll is like a french fleur-de-lis, mAPLE NECK WITH EBONY INSERT. ALL THE WORK IS OF A VERY HIGH ORDER,THE CELLO HAS JUST BEEN COMPLETELY RESTORED AND RESTRUNG ,AND IS BEGINNING TO SOUND QUITE LOVELY.
